Big doings are happening with the residency program … as most of you know, in the past accommodations were offered in individual apartments that were spread throughout Chapala … or contracted with a local hotel. 360 Xochi Quetzal has just acquired its own facility to welcome all of you. Here are the details. 
 
There are (10) individual suites. Each suite comes with a KING bed, a sofa that pulls into a QUEEN bed for guests, air conditioning. a private bath, WIFI, a smart TV, a covered terrace outside each studio for personal work space … AND A FULL KITCHEN!  They all have beautiful floor-to-ceiling glass entry doors that fully open, providing fabulous light and are hung with blackout curtains for you to sleep soundly in a darkened room. The suites are pretty incredible, and three of the suites on the second floor have juliet balconies off of the kitchen. Two of the suites on the first floor can be split, accommodating two residents who are traveling together in separate beds, or they can be rented separately by two different residents – each with their own entry. 
 
The facility also has a large pool; a jacuzzi; gym equipment (weight bench, an elliptical and a stationary bike); a dining area where delicious breakfast will be prepared for you every day; a large sala with a large TV, couches, tables for working, playing games, doing puzzles, etc. – or just gathering; a large open-air (but covered) terrace to be used as a group studio with easels and work tables; and an incredible scenic rooftop mirador … for working, relaxing and special events.
 
Current programming remains the same … I will serve as your liaison to the local and greater arts community. Exhibitions, salon discussions, portfolio reviews, networking, scheduled excursions, introductions to artisans, branding and technology consultations and so much more can be part of your experience. 
 
We are working on the new website and the reservations system. Both will be completed very shortly and you will be able to book your time with us, in our charming, arts-focused community. It is going to be an exciting year and I will be so thrilled to welcome you as one of our creatives-in-residence.
